How to replace with new HVAC blower motor resistor?
- Safety Notes before replacement:
- 1.Cut off the engine and disconnect the battery.
- 2. Wait until the blower motor cool to room temperature.
- 3. The most important is clearing dust for the blower motor via professional motor detergent, please don’t use water to clean!!!
- 4. Wait until blower motor get dry.
- 5. Disconnect the electrical connector at the resistor.
- Replacement note:
- If the new blower motor resistor didn't work or stop work in a short time after correct replacement, please check if there was too much dust with your blower motor.
- Replacement:
- Remove the negative battery terminal.
- Locate the blower motor resistor on the passenger side under the dash board. It is mounted to the the blower housing near the blower motor.
- Disconnect the electrical connector to the blower motor resistor.
- Remove the screws or bolts to the blower motor resistor and remove the resistor.
- Installation is the reverse of the removal.
