A Hydraulic Tappet, Also Known As A Hydraulic Valve Lifter Or Hydraulic Lash Adjuster, Is A Device For Maintaining Zero Valve Clearance In An Internal Combustion Engine.

MDS IN HEMI:

MDS stands for Multi Displacement System, which when at highway speed will shut down to use only four cylinders, instead of all 8 to save on fuel consumption. When you step on the gas to climb a hill of pass another vehicle or just to hear that HEMI Roar, the other 4 cylinders will automatically kick back in. The Hydraulic Lifter, situates between the camshaft and each engine's valve, is a hollow steel cylinder encasing an internal piston.

SIGNS OF A FAULTY HYDRAULIC LIFTER:

The most obvious symptom of a faulty hydraulic lifter is the noise creates in your car's engine. Instead of a knock or ping, a faulty hydraulic lifter will usually make a sound more reminiscent of a tapping sound. The tapping will be quick in rhythm and may occur when the vehicle is cold or hot, depending on what the problem with the hydraulic lifter is. The lifter may be having problems with a sticking check valve, dirt, wear or other problems.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly.
