This bar is made of STRONG steel and although not intended to not bear weight, you can easily drape your wetsuits, storage bags, ropes, and straps over the rod.
By nature of the two-part model, the bar's firmness decreases slightly when fully extended to 70", so you might want to test before transporting that refrigerator or barrel of chain links in a Ford Super Duty through the mountains.

Use just your thumb and forefinger to open the ergonomic rubber handle of the ratchet.

Pull the rod to extend.
Position it snugly against your cargo, making sure the bar is level and straight.
Then simply grasp the ratchet handle and turn back over. 1-2-3!

To release tension, lift the tab and open the handle 180 degrees.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
