Good Maintenance Practices

Before purchasing and installing an engine variable valve timing solenoid, make sure it is the correct size and fit for your vehicle. Keep engine oil and filter changed at intervals specified in vehicle information.

Have vehicle serviced if check engine light is illuminated.

Properly test and diagnose oil control valves per General Motors service procedures to insure the proper component is being replaced.

Signs of Wear and Troubleshooting

Service engine variable valve timing solenoids when signs of wear or failure are present. These symptoms may include:
Illuminated check engine light (with presence of certain cam phasing or cam position correlation trouble codes).
Abnormally high electrical resistance or open circuit.
Rough engine idle.
Poor drive quality.
Proper testing and diagnosis per GM service procedures should be performed to insure the proper component is being replaced.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
