Why Our Packaging is Best for Electrical Components
All Holstein Parts products are packaged in Zip-Loc style Anti-Static Bags that protect the electronic circuitry and components from potentially damaging electrical currents and moisture, ensuring your new component arrives ready to solve your problem. Simple shrink wrap or cardboard box type packaging can't offer the same level of protection for sensitive electrical components.
Holstein Parts
Parts that Perform. Service that Delivers.
The Holstein brand represents a blend of advanced technological innovation and exacting European craftsmanship that stretches back over half a century. This tradition of precision engineering, rigid standards, and optimum performance guides us as we continually strive to enhance our offerings.
- Extensive coverage for European, Asian, and Domestic vehicles
- Manufactured with only the highest quality materials, to exacting OE quality standards, to ensure durability and reliable service
- All Holstein Sensors, Solenoids, and Resistors match the OE components in form, fit, and function to ensure ease of installation and simple plug-and-play electrical connections

ABS SensorsAnti-lock Braking, ABS Systems allow the driver to maintain control of the car in an emergency braking situation. The ABS system relies on sensors to monitor the speed of the wheel and communicate with the ABS computer to ensure ideal performance. The data from the ABS sensor allows the computer to balance the speed of each wheel to prevent the brakes from locking up and avoiding dangerous skidding situations. |
Blower Motor ResistorsBlower Motor Resistors are critical electrical components in vehicle interior heating and A/C systems. When fan speed is changed via the dash controls, the blower motor resistor is what changes the speed of the blower motor. A failed blower motor resistor can cause issues with the operation of the the entire heating and air conditioning system. A bad or failing blower motor resistor will produce symptoms that can alert the driver of a potential issue. |
Brake Wear SensorsBrake Wear Sensors are used to warn drivers that the brake pads are in need of replacement. Brake Wear Sensors are installed into a vehicle's brake pads and connect to the vehicle's notification system. When the brake pads wear to a predetermined level the driver is notified that it is time to have the brake pads and wear sensors replaced. Commonly used on European vehicles, brake wear sensors are now included on select Asian and Domestic vehicles. |
Camshaft Position SensorsCamshaft Position Sensors monitor the rotating position of the camshaft relative to the crankshaft. This data is sent to the vehicle's ECU where it is used to adjust spark timing and fuel injector operation. Magnetic type (2-wire) sensors produce their own AC signal. Hall-effect type (3-wire) sensors use an external power source to produce a digital signal. For proper engine operation, rotation rates of the cam and crankshaft must be in sync. |

Crankshaft Position SensorsCrankshaft Position Sensors are electronic devices that monitor the position and/or rotational speed of the crankshaft. This sensor communicates with the vehicle's ECU to control ignition timing and fuel injection parameters. crankshaft position sensors work in conjunction with the camshaft position sensor to monitor the position of the valves and pistons. Crankshaft position sensors also measure engine RPM (revolutions per mile). |
Knock SensorsKnock Sensors are able to detect mechanical stress on vehicle engines caused by knocking or pinging. Under hard acceleration or high load conditions, it sends signals to the ECU which then retards the ignition timing to compensate for the knocking, protecting the pistons and rings from damage. Knocking or pinging can also occur when using low-grade fuel. Knock sensors allow use of different grades of fuel without causing engine damage. |
Variable Valve Timing (VVT) SolenoidsVariable Valve Timing (VVT) Solenoids alter the supply of oil pressure to the camshaft depending on the speed and load of the engine. VVT solenoids can either advance or retard cam position, relative to the crankshaft, which provides several benefits, including: improved engine operation, increased engine power, reduced fuel consumption, and decreased exhaust emissions. |
Vehicle Speed SensorsVehicle Speed Sensors measure wheel speeds and provide this information to the vehicle's ECU (Electronic Control Unit). The ECU then calculates ignition timing, transmission shift points, and air/fuel ratios for the vehicle, to ensure optimal performance under a wide range of driving conditions. Data from the vehicle speed sensor is also used by cruise control systems to ensure a constant speed is maintained under varying conditions and terrain. |
Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the 'Complete Orders' link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
